On December 4, took place the third edition of 3D Film & Music Fest Barcelona at Cine Comedia in Barcelona. The event was a meeting place for music, stereoscopic 3D films and new technologies. With the presence of important personalities such as Didier Verwaerde, Consul of Belgium in Barcelona and the President of the COOOC, Alfonso Bielsa amongst others.
The Belgian actress Annick Weerts was introduced as the official Festival’s Brand Ambassador.
The gala was hosted by the lovely presenters Eva Garcia and Ben Vinnicombe.
Awards were given to the following categories:
-Special Mention Award to Jens Willms from Germany for his short documentary: “The Black Drummer Who Smiles”.
-Special Mention Award to Caroline Orme from England for her short fiction film: “The Silver Ghosts”.
-Outstanding Music Album Award to Giorgio and Martin Koppehele, music production (AURO-3D Audio) and Diego M. Bonati, visual 3D production for “LICHTMOND III – Days of Eternity”
-Animation Award Category to Florian Werzinski from Germany, for his short film, “Luigi’s Pizzaride 3D”.
-Best 3D film (the jury’s unanimous decision) to Sascha Geddert from Germany for “Globosome”.
There was also room for other sensations on this special night. OLORAMA – Real Sense Experience, released various relevant smells during the screening of several of the titles.
In addition, attendees enjoyed the special performances of AMARCORD 3D of TV3’s current TV show “Oh Happy Day”; THE INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS BARCELONA – EVA SANCHEZ MARTZ; REGNA; PARIS & ILONA; MUSIC EXPRESS ART and the international DJ, GERSOUND with REACTABLE Electronic Musical Instrument, who put the “New Technologies” finishing touch to the evening.
